6 Injured, 1 Trapped In Granada Hills Pileup

Firefighters were able to free a man tapped in the wreckage of the Sepulveda Boulevard pileup, but he remains in critical condition.

LOS ANGELES, CA — Six people were injured, including one person who was trapped in the wreckage of a multi-vehicle crash in Granada Hills Wednesday. Several people were taken to area hospitals, and the person freed from the wreckage was in critical condition, according to the Los Angles Fire Department.

The crash occurred in the 13200 block of North Sepulveda Boulevard shortly after noon.

"Firefighters extricated one patient, a 50-60-year-old male, in critical condition," said LAFD spokeswoman Margaret Stewart.

Two additional patients were transported in serious condition, she added.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
