SUNDAY, OCTOBER 5, 2014 | 2:00PM - 4:00PM
Orphaned CDs, 8834 Reseda Blvd., Northridge, CA 91324
Join the Public Art Initiative and Northridge “Sparkle” Campaign, as we celebrate the completion of our first historical mural along Reseda Blvd. in Northridge. See attached Press Release.
Come meet the artist, Tim Cornelius, and see the finish mural on the side of Orphaned CDs. Special Guest speaker Councilmember Mitch Englander will present the mural and Marv Rosenberg’s Safaris of the 1960 Gold Record, “Image of a Girl,” will be singing a cappella! Vintage sounds of Doo-Wop to celebrate our vintage San Fernando Valley!
In collaboration with the Northridge “Sparkle” Campaign and Big Draw LA, there will also be two art activities that anyone can participate in while you wait for the unveiling to happen. First, help local artist paint trash bins and second, sketch your ideal neighborhood on a large community drawing board.
