THOUSAND OAKS, CA — An officer-involved shooting inside a hospital in Thousand Oaks triggered a massive response from local law enforcement who swarmed the building Thursday afternoon, police said.
Deputies responded to the shooting which was reported around 12:20 p.m. at Los Robles Regional Medical Center, a spokesperson for Ventura County Sheriff's Office told the Ventura County Star.
The Simi Valley Police Department also responded to the scene and one of the officers opened fire on a suspect during a domestic incident happening at the hospital, authorities told the VC Star.
Los Robles Regional Medical Center released a statement Thursday afternoon which said "All patients, colleagues and visitors are safe, and our hospital is operating as normal."
The condition of the suspect was unknown.
