NORTHRIDGE, CA — A person was struck and killed by a train Monday in Northridge, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Firefighters and paramedics responded to the area of Tampa Avenue and Nordhoff Street at around 3:45 p.m. and found one person dead at the scene, officials said.
Trains were stopped in both directions while emergency crews checked the train for possible additional patients. No other patients were found, according to the LAFD.
The circumstances surrounding the collision remained under investigation.
