LOS ANGELES, CA — A robbery suspect led police on a pursuit to Valley Glen Friday before stopping and fleeing on foot into a home, but he was later taken into custody with no injuries reported.
The brief chase began in the Los Angeles Police Department's Topanga Division around 9:55 a.m. Friday and ended a short time later near Welby Way and Goodland Avenue, close to Vanowen Street, where the suspect stopped the banged-up light-green Ford Mustang he was driving and fled on foot, police said.
The suspect was seen running through the neighborhood, apparently checking for unlocked doors. He eventually found one and slipped into the home, prompting a police perimeter in the neighborhood.
CBS LA reported that a woman fled from the home when the suspect entered. Around 10:30 a.m., officers with guns drawn were seen approaching the home, entering the house and then emerging with the suspect in handcuffs.
