LOS ANGELES, CA — Police on Friday released video as detectives search for the driver of a gray Honda Accord that struck and severely injured a woman in her 70s in Granada Hills.
The hit-and-run occurred around 8:20 p.m. Aug. 30 near Chatsworth Street and Louise Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The woman was crossing Chatsworth Street mid-block from the south side of the street toward the north when she was struck by the eastbound Honda Accord, police said.
The driver did not stop or remain at the scene, according to police.
Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics took the woman to a hospital for treatment. Police described her injuries as severe but did not release additional information about her condition.
LAPD released video from the incident as Valley Traffic Division detectives asked anyone who recognizes the vehicle or has information about the driver to come forward.
A reward of up to $25,000 is available through Los Angeles' Hit-and-Run Reward Program for information leading to the driver's identification, apprehension and conviction or a resolution through a civil compromise.
