Amtrak Train Kills Pedestrian in Chatsworth
A person was struck by an Amtrak train in a non-pedestrian area on Devonshire Street.
CHATSWORTH, CA — A person was struck by an Amtrak train and killed Wednesday evening in Chatsworth.
The collision occurred about 8:10 p.m. in a non-pedestrian area in the 21300 block of Devonshire Street, just north of the Chatsworth Station, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, the LAFD reported.

One other person was taken to a hospital, but it was unclear if that individual had been aboard the train. There was no word on that person's condition.
Metrolink service was not expected to be affected as its next train wasn't scheduled to move through the area until after 5 a.m. Thursday.
