Bank Robbers Fire Shots Inside Northridge Wells Fargo: Reports

According to police, the armed robbers made off with $30,000 in cash.

NORTHRIDGE, CA — Armed bank robbers terrorized Wells Fargo employees and customers Tuesday afternoon, firing shots in the air and stealing about $30,000 in cash, according to the Los Angeles police Department.

The robbery occurred at the Wells Fargo in the 8800 block of Corbin Avenue at 2:36 p.m., said LAPD Officer Melissa Ohana

Police are looking for two suspects who fled the scene in a grey Mercedes, she said.

The first suspect is described as 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing 150 pounds and wearing black-colored pants, shirt and hat, added Ohana. Investigators did not immediately release a description for the second suspect, who fired a black semi-automatic handgun during the robbery.

Police remain at the scene.

A man about 60-years-old was hospitalized for minor injuries suffered during the robbery, ABC7 reported.
