Bear Trapped At CA Amusement Park Rescued By LA County Firefighters

Fire officials say the bear found its way onto a back lot and became stuck between two cargo containers.

VALENCIA, CA — A bear that squeezed itself into a tricky spot at Six Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia was rescued last week with the help of Los Angeles County firefighters.

According to fire officials, the bear found its way onto the back lot of the amusement park and became stuck between two cargo containers. With the help of other agencies, including the California Fish and Game Commission and the Los Angeles County Department of Animal Care and Control, firefighters worked for several hours to free the bear.

Once workers sedated the bear, crews freed it after a heavy-rescue crew moved one of the containers, allowing firefighters better access to the animal.
