LOS ANGELES, CA — A truck driver hired to deliver a truckload of beer in the San Fernando Valley picked up the load but never delivered it, and now police are trying to get to the bottom of the case of disappearing beer. Now police are looking to question the driver.
The owner of a Turlock-based delivery company called Los Angeles police Friday worried about a driver, Jose Jesus Rodriguez, who was hired to take a truck to Van Nuys to pick up a load of beer, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. According to the LAPD, Rodriguez "completed the pick-up of the beer, and never completed the delivery. Over the weekend the owner had numerous text messages sent by Rodriguez, but the semi-truck was still missing."
On Sunday, detectives recovered the truck with its load of beer kegs inside, in the West San Fernando Valley, according to the LAPD. Now detectives are seeking "any information that would assist in locating Rodriguez."
