Bomb Squad Detonates Suspicious Package In West Hills Area

The LAPD bomb squad is conducting a contained explosion on a suspicious package on Royer Avenue near Stagg Street.

LOS ANGELES, CA — Police are warning people to avoid a West Hills neighborhood where the Los Angeles Police Department bomb squad responded to a suspicious package at a homeWednesday night. Bomb squad officers planned a series of contained explosions.

Police asked residents to avoid Royer Avenue between Lull and Stagg streets.

"Contained explosions will occur," police warned.
