Bomb Threat Cleared At Northridge Fashion Center, Man In Custody
A man is in custody in connection to a bomb threat made at the Northridge Fashion Center Wednesday.

NORTHRIDGE, CA — Los Angeles police have are questioning a man in custody in relation to a bomb threat at the Northridge Fashion Center Wednesday, police said.
The man was taken into custody at about 12:50 p.m., according to KNX 1070 Newsradio. Police are still searching the scene to determine whether the area is safe, and have evacuated only part of the mall, police said. KNX 1070 Newsradio reported that Shirley Avenue was closed north of Nordhoff Street due to the investigation.
Officers searched the man's belongings, but found no trace of a threat and cleared the mall at about 4:40 p.m., said Officer Mike Lopez.

The man was being questioned, but the LAPD had not decided whether to arrest him, Lopez said.
