The fire was reported before 2 p.m. near the connector from the southbound San Diego (405) Freeway to the northbound Ventura (101) Freeway, according to the fire department. Firefighters had knocked down the blaze within an hour, the department said. <a href="https://fb.watch/IZ-pqCeN_q/" target="_blank" rel="noopener nofollow">Aerial footage aired by Fox 11</a> showed brush burning near the interchange as fire crews worked along the roadway. One transition road appeared to be closed while firefighters battled the flames, according to the station.
