Burglars Nabbed By Police Dog May Be Connected To String Of SFV Break-Ins: Police
Police believe they may have caught the people responsible for some of the recent residential break-ins in the Valley.
BURBANK, CA — Three suspected residential burglars were arrested Sunday night after neighbors and a police dog intervened. Police say the suspects have likely been involved in at least some of the home break-ins in the San Fernando Valley recently.
A person called police at around 7:20 p.m. Sunday to report seeing two suspects outside their neighbor's home on the 2700 block of Scott Road, off Sixth Street, according to Burbank Police Department Lt. Derek Green.
The suspects broke a window of the home, Green said. No one was home at the time, NBC Los Angeles reported. It's unclear what, if anything, was taken from the home.

The suspects were scared off by arriving officers. They jumped a fence and ran off, according to Green.
Police searched the area and found the two suspects underneath some bushes in a yard on the nearby 2800 block of Jolley Drive, according to Green.

A third man was found in a vehicle near the crime scene and he was arrested on suspicion of being the getaway driver, Green said.
The suspects may be connected to other burglaries in the area, Green said.
"We believe they are involved in many burglaries in the San Fernando Valley," Green said. He added they may be linked to a burglary ring in the area.
Since April 10, there have been at least 23 break-ins or attempted burglaries in and around the San Fernando Valley, NBC Los Angeles reported.
In another incident Sunday night, a Valley family was awoken by a pair of burglars who shouted a warning to the residents before making off with valuables. Those suspects remained at large Monday.
Many of April's burglaries have been close to Ventura Boulevard, one of the main east-west routes through an area that includes the communities of Sherman Oaks, Encino, Tarzana and Woodland Hills.
Mayor Karen Bass last week said the LAPD is deploying additional resources to address the incidents.
That includes extra patrols, deployment of high-visibility LAPD vehicles, utilization of license plate readers in areas at high risk of burglaries, helicopter support and more.
