Bus Driver Stabbed; Manhunt On For Attacker In San Fernando Valley

WOODLAND HILLS, CA — A Metro bus driver is fighting for his life after being stabbed aboard a bus in Woodland Hills Wednesday, and police are searching for his attacker.

The suspect was described as a 6-foot tall man, approximately 21 years old, with blonde curly hair and a thin build. He wore a red shirt and black pants during the attack. He was last seen headed eastbound on Owensmouth Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

The attack occurred shortly after 5 p.m. at Erwin Street and Topanga Canyon Boulevard. According to investigators, the suspect entered a Metro bus and got into an argument with the driver. The argument spilled onto the sidewalk and that's when the suspect repeatedly stabbed the bus driver, according to police.

Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics rushed the bus driver to a local hospital in critical condition, and he underwent surgery.
