Join us Sunday, August 9, 2026 for our next Big Band Series with music by the Big Band Alumni of Los Angeles plus vocalists Bill A. Jones and Nancy Osborne. Enjoy an afternoon of live music from a 17-piece big band and swing dance the afternoon away. Show starts at 2 pm and goes until 4 pm. Entrance fee is $20. Free parking on site. If Post 43 runs out of spots, the Post 43 attendant will give you a pass to set on your dashboard viewable through the windshield to park at the Hollywood Heritage parking lot across the street.
The 17 Piece Dance Band, Big Band Alumni, from Los Angeles plays the very best of Swing and Classic Vocal Pop Standards. Think “In The Mood,” “String of Pearls,” and songs like “I’ve Got You Under My Skin” and “Mack The Knife.” You can book the band for events in Los Angeles, Orange County, and Palm Springs and more.
Established over 25 years ago by members of the Original Big Bands such as Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman, Harry James, Les Brown, and Count Basie, our players have worked with such artists as FRANK SINATRA, ROD STEWART, ELVIS, and LADY GAGA. In years past, the band has played at the ACADEMY AWARDS Governor’s Ball, The Reagan Library, &amp; opened for TONY BENNETT at the Beverly Hilton.

A Faery Hunt shows are interactive, immersive performances designed for young audiences &amp; families to inspire creativity, imagination &amp; fun. 
We'll go on a gentle quest through the forest to find the faeries in this lovely, immersive and musical adventure! What a great way to get the kids outside with the whole family. Perfect for ages 2-10, boys and girls, and the young-at-heart. Many children come in costume. Wings, garlands, wands, wizard hats &amp; CD's of the Faery hits from our award-winning shows are available for sale at the show.
After the show, get close and personal with&nbsp;the farm animals.&nbsp; You will be guided in small groups&nbsp;by the farm's docents.
Groups and parties are welcome!
Time: 10:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
The cost: $35.00. Adult tickets and children’s tickets are the same price and each person needs a ticket.

Non-Profit offers a place for parents and caregivers with young children to dress up and enjoy carnival games, trick-or-treat rooms and wellness activities
Northridge, CA – The Child and Family Guidance Center (CFGC), a leading non-profit mental health care provider, is hosting a FREE Halloween Festival and Health Fair on Saturday, October 24, 2026, from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm at their Northridge location – 9650 Zelzah Avenue in Northridge. CFGC’s Halloween Fest is FREE for everyone -- families with young children from birth to twelve years of age are encouraged to dress up – to enjoy carnival games, a petting zoo, Trick-or-Treat Halloween decorated rooms, pumpkin decorating, arts and crafts, live music, food trucks, giveaways and health booths. Guests are encouraged to download CFGC’s mobile app to access more information, resources and updates. CFGC’s 5th Annual Halloween Fest last year drew a crowd of more than 2,000 guests, 75 volunteers and included various community sponsors. CFGC fights the stigma surrounding mental health issues and works to ensure that everyone has access to the treatment they need to live their healthiest, happiest and most productive life.
