NORTHRIDGE, CA — A silver Honda smashed into the window of a Northridge flower shop Friday morning, shattering the glass and breaking about half the items in the store, according to an employee.

Laila Akhtari, who works at Flower World & Gifts on the 8300 block of Reseda Boulevard in Northridge, said that at around 11:30 they say a silver Honda HR-V barreling towards them. "We were just working and my coworker was right on the spot," said Akhtari. "She looked to her side and she heard the mailboxes break, and she noticed a car was coming towards us, us so she quickly ran out."

The car drove halfway into the shop, breaking the windows and nearly half of the items in the store, including all their computers, before a table stopped its momentum. Akhtari said she heard that the woman driving was on her way to the hospital, though this has not been confirmed.
