Chatsworth Brush Fire Threatens Homes

Firefighters protected Heather Lee Lane homes in Chatsworth from a brush fire in Stoney Point Park.

CHATSWORTH, CA — A fire in Chatsworth scorched about a half-acre of brush Thursday.

Sixty-two firefighters and three helicopters responded to the blaze, which was reported about 2:50 p.m. in Stoney Point Park in the 10900 block of Andora Avenue, according to Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

The fire was knocked down in 63 minutes, he said.

No injuries were reported and no structures were damaged.

Firefighters were deployed as a precaution to protect homes on Heather Lee Lane, Humphrey said.
