Chatsworth Couple Saves Chihuahua From Coyote

It's every dog owner's worst nightmare. This brave Chatsworth couple saved their dog from a coyote, and caught the encounter on their Ring.

CHATSWORTH, CA — This couple saved their dog's life with an airhorn, NBC Los Angeles reported.

Their dog, Chico the Chihuahua, only ended up with a few puncture wounds and a broken rib. Chico is totally healed now.

The heartbreaking Ring camera video shows Chico being swept away by the coyote. But Kerri Ruiz saw it happen, and immediately grabbed her husband and son to help look in the backyard.

The coyote had already jumped over a wall into their neighbor's backyard when Ruiz blew an airhorn, causing the coyote to drop Chico and leave.
