Chatsworth Hit & Run Victim Identified

A 66-year-old man was struck and left for dead in Chatsworth Tuesday.

CHATSWORTH, CA — Authorities Thursday identified a pedestrian who was struck and killed by a hit-and-run motorist in Chatsworth.

Joseph Cobb, 66, of Chatsworth was struck about 9 p.m. Tuesday in the 20600 block of Lassen Street and died at a hospital, according to the coroner's office and the Los Angeles Police Department.

The car was described as a white 2013 Kia Optima with a black top. No description of the motorist was released.

The city of Los Angeles offers a standing reward of up to $50,000 for information leading to a hit-and-run suspect's identification, apprehension and conviction, or "resolution through a civil compromise."
