Chatsworth Teacher Provides 'Innovative Experiences For Her Kids'

CHATSWORTH, CA — Great teachers matter. In Chatsworth, we’re fortunate to have teachers like Cydney ( CJ) Forman.

1st grade

Why do you believe the teacher should be recognized or honored?

My daughter is driven to provide the best school experience for her students.

She attended this school in grades K-5. She taught here as a student teacher's aide and then mentored with teachers who taught her when she was a child. She was hired and was an active member in the K-kids program and was nominated last year by the PTA as a “teacher of the year."

She has been supportive of the move to become a new “Urban Planning" Magnet school and continues to enjoy the kids attending, their siblings as future students, and the past students who move on to middle school.

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the teacher?

CJ is always seeking out new educational methods to improve her teaching. She utilizes a program called “Donors Choose” to obtain donations from the community and families to obtain much-needed educational materials and teaching tools to provide the best, innovative experiences for her kids.
