Church celebrates 75 years by looking to the future
The 3 Crosses Church wraps up a "month of Sundays", celebrating 75 years in the West Valley, by commissioning a New Church Plant!
West Valley Christian Center -- the 3 Crosses Church -- is 75 years old, but we’re excited to announce the birth of a new church due early next year! Like the patriarch Abraham & his wife Sarah, WVCC is being blessed in old age by a child. Our ”Isaac” is a new Church Plant, (preliminary name is “Soul Kitchen”), being created by Rev. Joe Gutel & his wife April, along with a team of committed volunteers.
This Sunday at 10:30 AM, the pastors & board of WVCC will commission Joe & April by laying hands on them and praying over them, emulating how early Christians were sent out by the apostles. Special speaker, Rev. Frank Wooden, is not only Church Multiplication Director for SoCal Network Assemblies of God, but practices what he preaches -- his own church “parents” multiple new church plants, many of them multi-ethnic, multi-lingual congregations, in the San Diego area.
If you’re interested in real church for real people, or intrigued by “Soul Kitchen” (what does that mean?), you‘re welcome to join us at West Valley Christian Center, 22001 Nordhoff Street, Chatsworth, at the corner of Topanga Canyon & Nordhoff. Look for the 3 white crosses! For more info about our new church plant, check out: http://www.funchurchla.com/
