Couple Found Shot To Death In Chatsworth Home

BREAKING: Police have yet to say if the slayings were a murder-suicide or a double homicide, which would mean the killer remains at large.

CHATSWORTH, CA — A man and woman were shot and killed in Chatsworth, and it wasn't immediately clear Monday if the shooter remains at large.

The man and a woman, both in their 70s, were found shot to death Monday at a home in Chatsworth, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Officers sent to the 10400 block of Canoga Avenue about 7 a.m. found the pair dead.

Los Angeles Police Department Officer Rosario Herrera said no suspects were being sought.

According to KCAL 9, police found the weapon believed used in the shooting, and there was no sign of forced entry into the residence, where the couple had lived for a some time.

Neighbors told Channel 9 that the wife was a manicurist who worked out of her home and the husband was retired. They said the couple had one child -- a daughter in her late 20s or early 30s.

Their names were not immediately released.
