Deputies Seek Woman, Pickup In Chatsworth Tool Thefts
Authorities released surveillance images of a silver Toyota Tacoma seen near two August thefts in Chatsworth.
CHATSWORTH, CA — Detectives are asking for the public's help identifying a woman and a pickup truck wanted in connection with two tool thefts in Chatsworth this month.
The first theft occurred at about 8 a.m. Aug. 3 in the 9200 block of Johnell Road, according to a Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department bulletin.

Someone shattered the passenger-side window of a victim's truck and stole tools from inside the vehicle and its bed, authorities said.

Surveillance footage showed a silver Toyota Tacoma stop in front of the home before a woman got out of the passenger side and walked up the victim's driveway, according to the Sheriff's Department.
A second theft was reported at about 7:20 a.m. Aug. 10 in the 23000 block of Ehlers Drive.

In that case, unsecured tools were stolen from a victim's front yard, authorities said. The same silver Toyota Tacoma was seen near the home with a man driving and a woman in the passenger seat.
Detectives described the vehicle as a silver 2005-2011 Toyota Tacoma Access Cab pickup truck.
Anyone with information was asked to contact the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff's Station Detective Bureau at 818-878-1808 and ask for Detective Lopez.
