Our Redeemer Lutheran Church at 8520 Winnetka Ave. in Winnetka is holding their Annual Vacation Bible School from Monday, July 28th through Friday, August 1st from 9am to Noon. All children up to and including 6th grade are invited to come and meet Noah and his friends on the Ark where they will learn new songs, Bible lessons, play games, enjoy snacks, make crafts and meet guests! Around 225 children from the local community attend each year and everything is FREE!
The VBS Closing Celebration will be on Friday, August 1st from 11:30am to 1pm and the children will perform the songs they've learned; snacks will be provided and the winners of the Coloring Contest will be announced.
A huge Silent Auction with over 50 items will be available for bidding all week long and the winners will be announced at the VBS Closing on Friday. There are tickets to Disneyland, San Diego and L.A. Zoo, 6 Flags Magic Mountain, Skateland and Mountasia, hotel rooms, the Reagan Library and many air and space museums plus gift cards for Stonefire Grill, a wine tasting party at Total Wine and More for 20, a laser tag party for 15 at Ultrazone Laser and a round of golf for 4 at Elkins Ranch among the many items with bidding starting at half the value! Proceeds will go to the Children's Anti-Substance Abuse Program for their December trip to Mexico to educate children there in Santiago Naranjas, Oaxaca.
