We will learn about several famous artists (from Italy, France, Holland, England) and the techniques and mediums they used to create their works. Children will also learn about the basics of composition, including line, color, texture, and pattern. Children will draw self-portraits, paint still lifes, create collages, carve sculptures, cut patterns from paper, and even toss paint-soaked sponges at butcher paper to create murals. Children will enjoy creating colorful, "edible art". This is sure will bring out the artist in every child.
