Early Warner Bros. Studios

“Early Warner Bros. Studios”

Thursday, May 26

The San Fernando Valley Historical Society is please to present, E.J. Stephens, who tells the tale of the early days of Warner Bros. Studios and four brothers named Warner – Harry, Albert, Sam, and Jack, who rose from the humblest of origins to become Hollywood moguls with enormous and lasting influence.  Stephens’ book, "Early Warner Bros Studios" contains rare photographs from the 1920s to the 1950s, and covers the history of Warner brothers.  He was able to wed his passions for history and film together in his first book, which he co-wrote with noted Hollywood historian Marc Wanamaker.

Stephens has lived in Southern California for over 30 years.  He worked for many years at Warner Bros. Studios in Burbank, where he still serves as docent for the Warner Bros. Museum.  Prior to that, he was an imagineer for the Walt Disney Company for a decade.  As a creative writer for many years, his articles have appeared in newspapers and magazines throughout Southern California.   The presentation is a MUST for anyone interested in the movie industry.

A book signing will follow his presentation.  The meeting starts at 7:00 p.m.  Location is the Andres Pico Adobe Park, 10940 Sepulveda Blvd., Mission Hills.  The program, door prize and light refreshments are FREE!  Donations are accepted and greatly appreciated!
