Fire Breaks Out At Winnetka Home
A fire broke out at a residential property in Winnetka Thursday afternoon.
WINNETKA, CA — Firefighters extinguished a blaze that broke out in a garage in Winnetka Thursday afternoon, preventing it from spreading to the attached single-family home.
The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to the 8200 block of Quakertown Avenue, near Winnetka Avenue and Saticoy Street, at around 4 p.m. to find heavy fire showing from the garage, according to the LAFD.
It took 31 firefighters just over a half hour to extinguish the fire.

A hazmat team responded due to the presence of a lithium-ion battery at the scene.
No injuries were reported.
