Fire Burns Chatsworth Commercial Building

CHATSWORTH, CA — A fire raged at a one-story commercial building with multiple units in the 9500 block of Owensmouth Avenue in Chatsworth Thursday afternoon, according Amy Bastman of the Los Angeles Fire Department says.

Heavy smoke billowed from one unit, but the fire was quickly extinguished by 50 Firefighters in just 20 minutes. "An aggressive coordinated fire attack and vertical ventilation stopped additional smoke and flames from spreading into adjacent units," Bastman said.

No injuries were reported.
