Fire Preparedness Community Meeting

Sunday July 24th at Lake Manor Neighborhood Church 1pm A Fire Preparedness Meeting

I saw this on the Chatsworth/Lake Manor Facebook post. It seems the information will be of value to much of the West Valley. Sunday July 24th at Lake Manor Neighborhood Church 1pm A Fire Preparedness Meeting 23449 Lake Manor Drive (Coming from Valley Circle continue past Roscoe, past Woolsey Canyon, past Box Canyon, around the bend as if you were headed back to Topanga)

What people do not realize is the reason those areas are evacuated or restricted at the hint of a fire is because a) Woolsey Cyn is a wide access road for heavy truck to get into the canyons b) you have all those communities feeding into Valley Circle - it would be a disaster if people could not get out fast enough so it is better to get out before the winds or fire turns quickly as it did in 2005 & 2008 most recently. c) lookie-loo factor

Meanwhile, I am sure if you showed up at 10am to join the Church service that community would be delighted. Or likewise, St Mary's Anglican Church up the road (at the top of the hill within Oakwood Cemetery) also at 10am. 22601 Lassen St 91311
