Free Granada Hills Community Emergency Response Team Class Starts Monday, January 4, 2016

Granada Hills North Neighborhood Council and the Patriot Oil Community Benefit Trust Fund (administered by the North Valley Coalition) are sponsoring a free CERT level 1 class, taught by LAFD Firefighter Susan Jensen, starting on Monday, January 4, 2016, from 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm at the Knollwood Country Club, 12024 Balboa Blvd, Granada Hills. To obtain your Course Completion Certificate, you must attend all 7 sessions.

Make-ups can be done proactively, allowing you to graduate with our class, or after the fact, by attending the missed session(s) at another CERT class. CERT classes in Los Angeles are mostly scheduled on a weekly basis, so each week holds the same session as all other LA CERT classes.

To graduate with our class, you must attend at least 5 out of the 7 sessions with us. On graduation day (February 29), LAFD wraps up the course, and we host a cheese and crackers and cookies celebration, with coffee and tea. We’ll also have a great gift for our graduates as well.
