Granada Hills Teachers Could Be First To Lose Jobs Over Vaccine
Seven Granada Hills Charter employees were fired for refusing the COVID-19 vaccine, potentially the first vaccine firings California.

NORHTRIDGE-CHATSWORTH, CA — Seven Granada Hills Charter School employees were fired last week for refusing to comply with the Los Angeles Unified School District's vaccine mandate, the Los Angeles Daily News reported.
97 percent of LAUSD teachers and administrations got their vaccines in time for the mandate's deadline of Oct. 15, the Los Angeles Times reported.
LAUSD was one of the first school systems in the country to require COVID-19 vaccines for employees, the LA Times reported. The board approved the mandate on Aug. 13, the Los Angeles Daily News reported. The mandate offers no alternative option for teachers to get tested regularly in lieu of the vaccine.
