High-Speed Chase Winds Through San Fernando Valley

A driver led the CHP on a high-speed chase along the 118 Freeway and on sides streets from Porter Ranch to Woodland Hills Tuesday.

LOS ANGELES, CA — A driver led the California Highway Patrol on a high-speed chase in the San Fernando Valley Tuesday along the Ronald Reagan (118) Freeway and onto side streets in the Porter Ranch area. The chase finally came to an end with the driver arrested in the parking lot of a tire store in the Woodland Hills area around 1:30 p.m.

The chase wound along the westbound Ronald Reagan (118) Freeway shortly after 1 p.m., and the motorist briefly stopped on the DeSoto Avenue offramp before speeding off again on surface streets followed by CHP officers.

It's unclear what triggered the chase.
