Hit-And-Run Victim May Have Been Run Down On Purpose

A 35-year-old woman was killed by a hit and run driver in Canoga Park, and now police are trying to find out if it was on purpose.

CANOGA PARK, CA — A woman killed by a hit-and-run driver in a Canoga Park alley may have been deliberately run down, police said Tuesday.

Investigators are working to determined if a 35-year-old Canoga Park woman was deliberately targeted Saturday following an argument with an unidentified man. The woman was injured about 10 p.m. Saturday in the 7300 block of Milwood Avenue and died at a hospital, the Los Angeles Police Department reported. Her name was withheld, pending notification of her family.

"The victim may have been arguing with an unknown male, and was then struck by a vehicle that did not stop. Detectives are attempting to determine if this was an accidental or intentional act," according to a written release by the Los Angeles Police Department.
