Infant, Toddler Trapped With Parents' Bodies In Chatsworth Murder
Police believe a Chatsworth man shot his wife and then himself, leaving his two young children trapped with the bodies for days.
CHATSWORTH, CA — An infant and toddler were trapped alone with the bodies of their father and mother for days after an apparent murder-suicide in Chatsworth, according to authorities.
Los Angeles police were called to the 9100 block of Foster Lane Sunday, where they found the bodies of a husband and wife in a bedroom with their two young children. Police believe he shot her to death while she lay in bed, and then turned the gun on himself. A three-month-old baby boy and a 4-year-old girl were left alone next to their parents’ bodies for days, Fox 11 News reported. A spokesperson for the LAPD refused to confirm the timeline.
The two young children were not physically injured and were admitted to a local area hospital for observation, according to police. The children are in custody of the Department of Children’s Family Services.
