LA Crews Rescue Ill Hiker Near Granada Hills

A man who was suffering from an unknown illness was air-hoisted from a remoate trail near Granada Hills on Sunday, officials said.

NORTHRIDGE, CA — Firefighters rescued a man who reportedly became ill while hiking on a remote trail in O'Melvenry Park in Grandad Hills on Sunday afternoon, the Los Angeles Fire Department reported.

Around 2:46 p.m., the department deployed a helicopter crew to air hoist the man to a nearby hospital. Officials said the man became "suddenly ill."

No other details were immediately available.
