LAPD Motorcycle Officer Hurt In Valley Crash

VAN NUYS, CA – A Los Angeles Police Department motorcycle officer suffered serious injuries Friday morning in a crash with an SUV in the San Fernando Valley.

The crash happened just after 10:00 a.m. at Van Nuys Boulevard and Hartland Street, according to the LAPD.

The officer, whose name was withheld, was hospitalized in serious but stable condition, police reported Friday afternoon. Two people who were in the SUV were treated for minor injuries, police said.

The cause of the collision is under investigation.
