Look Up and Say 'Cheese' for Think 91311 Photo
COUNTDOWN: 4 days to go until community celebration in Chatsworth.
If you are attending Think 91311, a celebration of everything special about Chatsworth at 4:30 p.m., Tuesday, don't expect to hear Michael Marciniw say "smile" before he snaps your picture. It's hard to hear anything someone says in a helicopter hovering 500 feet above you.
One of the many highlights of Think 91311 will be an aerial photograph taken about 5:20 p.m. that will show all the attendees of the family-style community event on the grounds of St. Stephen Presbyterian Church, 20121 Devonshire St.
While Michael snaps photos with his digital single lens reflex camera, his father, George Marcniniw, a helicopter pilot for nearly 25 years, will circle above for about five minutes. Once the photos are taken, the
helicopter will return to the Pacific Rotor Ways home base at Bob Hope Airport in Burbank.

Despite the distance between camera and subject, it will be possible to recognize individual faces on the ground, George said. "With equipment the way it is nowadays, you can take that picture and blow it up. The resolution is really nice," he added.
In the spirit of the event, Pacific Rotor Ways extended a discount to Think 91311 organizers. "The helicopter is extremely expensive to operate but we're going to do it for a reduced rate," George said.

In addition to the aerial community photo, Think 91311, sponsored by community organizations, businesses and others, will provide
entertainment, restaurant samples, raffles, silent auctions, a vendor area, a children's area and an area to purchase hamburgers and hot dogs. Admission is free and proceeds benefit the Young Masters Performing Arts Academy.
