Man, 78, Fatally Struck By Vehicle In Winnetka Identified

LOS ANGELES, CA — Authorities Tuesday identified a 78-year-old man who was fatally struck by a vehicle as he traversed a Winnetka street in a crosswalk.

The crash occurred at about 8:10 p.m. Sept. 12 in the 20000 block of Roscoe Boulevard, just east of Winnetka Avenue, where the pedestrian was struck by a vehicle that was headed westbound on Roscoe.

The Los Angeles County medical examiner's office identified the victim as Felipe Lopez, whose place of residence was not immediately available.

The motorist involved stayed at the scene and cooperated with officers, according to the Los Angeles Police Department's Media Relations Division.

Paramedics rushed Lopez to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
