Man With Developmental Disabilities Missing In North Hills

Police issued a critical missing person's alert after Nathan Dy disappeared Thursday. He has the mental capacity of a 5-year-old child.

NORTH HILLS, CA — Authorities and the family of a missing man with diminished mental capacity are asking for help bringing him home safely.

Twenty-seven-year-old Nathan Dy is non-verbal and has the mental capacity of a 5-year-old child, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. He was last seen at about 6 p.m. Thursday in the 8800 block of Lemona Avenue in North Hills, according to the LAPD.

Dy is Asian, 5 feet, 7 inches tall and weighs 240 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a red shirt and shorts.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts was asked to call the LAPD Missing Persons Unit at 213-996-1800. Calls on weekends and during non-business hours should be made to 877-527-3247.
