Man Pleads Guilty To Sexually Battering 2 Women At CSUN

Peter Wei, 28, pled guilty to grabbing two women at CSUN in 2018 and trying to put them in a chokehold.

NORTHRIDGE, CA — A 28-year-old man pleaded no contest Wednesday to charges that he sexually battered two women at Cal State Northridge a day apart in November 2018.

Peter Wei was ordered to complete a year in a residential mental health program, register as a sex offender for life, wear a GPS monitoring device for a year, and serve five years on probation following his plea to two felony counts of sexual battery by restraint.

A five-year state prison sentence that was suspended may be imposed if Wei violates the terms of his probation, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office.

One of the victims, Gasig Kejejian, said Wei, whom she had never seen before, followed her while she was riding her bike to class on Nov. 28.

“As soon as I got off the bike, he basically started pulling my hair and said, ‘I want to make love to you,” Kejejian told Fox11 News. She told Wei she didn’t know him, and he began choking her. She said that she ran away to CSUN’s Bookstein Hall, where he grabbed her again by her hair.

At that point, Kejejian began recording Wei in a video that shows him choking her. Nearby male bystanders jumped in to help, and pried him off of her. The event left her with scratchmarks on her neck and a broken arm.

Wei has no affiliation with the university.
