Man Shot in Northridge During Argument

The shooter remained at large Tuesday after fleeing the scene.

NORTHRIDGE, CA — A 31-year-old man remains hospitalized after he was shot by another man during an argument Northridge.

Officers from the Los Angeles Police Department responded at 11:12 p.m. Monday to 8750 Quartz Ave., near Brent's Deli Northridge and between Corbin and Shirley avenues, regarding a shots fired call.

"The victim and the suspect were involved in a verbal dispute — both are male, Hispanics in their 30s," said Los Angeles Police Officer Rosario Cervantes. "The suspect produced a handgun."

The victim was shot multiple times and transported to a hospital in stable condition, Cervantes added.

The suspect fled from the scene in an unknown direction. There was no immediate vehicle description nor suspect identity released. As of late Tuesday night, the suspect remained at large.
