Man Shot Trying To Flee Armed Robber In Northridge

NORTHRIDGE, CA — A 21-year-old man was shot multiple times while fleeing an armed robber in Northridge over the weekend.

The robbery occurred just after 11 p.m. Friday in the 8600 block of Balboa Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. Responding officers found the victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, and he was rushed to a nearby hospital in stable condition.

Investigators learned the victim had been approached on foot by a robber, who demanded money. The victim tried to run away, and that is when the robber opened fire on him, according to the LAPD.

Police did not release a suspect description.
