Man Sustains Minor Burns In SF Valley House Fire
The blaze broke out in the home's converted garage and spread to the attic, officials said.

WEST HILLS, CA – A man suffered minor burn injuries Monday when a fire broke out in a converted garage and spread into the attic of a home in West Hills.
The fire was reported about 6:05 p.m. in the detached garage of a one-story home in the 7000 block of Vicky Avenue, between Sherman Way and Vanowen Street, according to Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The injured man, who sustained minor burns to his head and hands, was in good condition when taken to a hospital, Humphrey said.

The cause of the blaze is under investigation, and the financial damage was not yet determined, the agency said.
