Murder-Suicide Suspected In Shooting Deaths Of LA Couple: Police
A man and woman were found shot to death in a suburban home Monday night.
CHATSWORTH, CA — A shooting that left a married couple dead inside a Chatsworth home is being investigated as a murder-suicide, police said.
Officers responded to 20704 Como Lane at around 9:20 a.m. Monday after a neighbor reported finding the man and woman with gunshot wounds, according to a Los Angeles Police Department spokesman.
The home is located in a suburban tract-home neighborhood north of the 118 Freeway, tucked beneath the Santa Susana Mountains.

The man, 58, and woman, 55, were pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
"Preliminary investigation determined the male and female were married. Based on the initial findings, the incident is being investigated as a murder-suicide," the LAPD said in a news release.

Police said they do not believe there were any outstanding suspects and that there was no threat to the public.
A gun was recovered from the scene, police said.
Fox 11 reported that a neighbor described the victims as being members of a "very close family" who have a son.
