New Fantastic Friends chapter for Special Needs Kids

Creating meaningful friendships among special needs and typically developing peers in the community through fun monthly social events.

Fantastic Friends is a non profit organization that hosts fun monthly events for celebrating uniqueness and creating friendships for people with special needs. Members are always paired with a 1:1 peer volunteer at each event, who help them interact with other Fantastic Friends and participate in the event’s activities. Events are always fun and creative, and provide a variety of social and learning experiences for our special needs members.

With the help of CEO and founder of Fantastic Friends Marissa Hacker, I have created a new chapter of Fantastic Friends in the San Fernando Valley area! The inspiration for starting a chapter locally is my son who has Autism.

Our San Fernando Valley chapter plans to host fun monthly events for people with special needs 12-19 years of age in the San Fernando Valley, Santa Clarita Valley and Burbank area. We also have volunteer opportunities ages 12 and up! We are having our first event on July 16.

Fantastic Friends is so excited to be bringing this new chapter to the San Fernando Valley area, and we can’t wait to see all of the new friendships and fun memories that will be created!! Please contact me if you would like your child to become a Fantastic Friends member or if you would like to learn about volunteer opportunities.
