No, This Is Not What You Think
Its the world of make-believe in Chatsworth as a movie company continues to film 'The First Time.'
Film cameras and massive lighting rigs have illuminated the night for a series of shoots as Chatsworth plays home to a film crew producing the new comedy The First Time.
Written and directed by Jon Kasdan, son of Raiders of the Lost Ark scribe Lawrence Kasdan, the film details an adventurous weekend during which two teenagers fall in love.
Long lines of Star Waggons and production vehicles have lined the north side of Rinaldi Street on and off for several weeks while the filmmakers use parts of Celtic Street and Canoga Avenue for exterior and interior locations.

The Castle Rock production stars popular Nickelodeon actress Victoria Justice as well as James Frecheville, who recently co-starred in the Oscar nominated Australian gangster opus, Animal Kingdom and Craig Roberts, who can be seen later this summer in the festival favorite, Submarine.
Little is publicized about the plot as The First Time is still in production, but given the cast, title, and themes of Kasdan’s last feature effort, In the Land of Women, this film is likely to focus on the comedic side of falling in love.

But, the film also appears to feature some of the excitement and action that typifies Kasdan’s father’s scripts, which include Return of the Jedi, as is evidenced by the prop SUV flipped over on the side of the road.
