Northridge Man Faces Murder Charge Following Deadly Crash
A crash in Northridge left a motorcyclist dead and a Northridge man arrested on suspicion of DUI murder.

NORTHRIDGE, CA — A Northridge man is facing a murder charge following a crash that killed a 29-year-old motorcyclist Friday.
Police are asking the public for any information relating to the crash that killed Winnetka resident Antonio Friday in Northridge. Cueva-Romero died instantly when Grigor Gevork Nalbandian, 30, made a left turn from Parthenia Street southbound onto Louise Avenue and struck his Yamaha motorcycle, the Los Angeles Police Department reported. The force of the crash sent Cueva-Romero into a brick wall. The crash happened at about 7 p.m. Friday.
Gevork Nalbandian was driving a white 2011 Mercedes SUV, and he remained at the scene following the crash. Police said it was later determined that he was driving under the suspicion of impairment. He was then arrested on suspicion of murder and booked at the Van Nuys Jail. His bail was set at $2 million, according to the sheriff's Inmate Information Center.
