Northridge Man Found Dead In Freeway Lanes

NORTHRIDGE, CA — A Northridge man has been identified by authorities as the man whose body was found on the 5 Freeway Tuesday.

As first reported by the Los Angeles Daily News, the California Highway Patrol responded to a call of a body in the lanes of the freeway in Sylmar at about 6:45 p.m. Tuesday. They arrived to find the body of John James Flores Jr. of Northridge lying in the lanes, the newspaper reported. He was unconscious, and he wasn’t breathing, authorities said.

The circumstance of his death have not been made public.
