Northridge Teen Arrested On Suspicion Of Reckless Driving

Police allege an 18-year-old driver with a car full of other teens was driving at high speeds near pedestrians and cyclists.

GLENDALE, CA — An 18-year-old man was arrested for alleged reckless driving during rainy weather with three minors in the car in Glendale, authorities announced Friday.

An officer clocked the westbound car at more than 70 mph on Glenoaks Boulevard near Graynold Avenue, where many pedestrians and bicyclists exercised during the stay-at-home directive, according to Sgt. Hauptmann of the Glendale Police Department.

The officer pulled over the car and arrested Roman Santrosyan, 18, of Northridge, for reckless driving, Hauptmann said.

Three juvenile passengers were released at the scene after being advised to abide by social-distancing requirements.
